Using translucent watercolours with the drama of ink, you will learn how to memorialise your home or a building that has meaning to you in this workshop. There will be some basic perspective instruction in the drawing stage and then you will start with a pencil and ink drawing, to develop a tonal underpainting, before applying watercolours to really bring your painting to life. Bring an A4 printed image in colour to work from or choose from provided images. For beginners and experienced artists. All materials supplied.

Learn the basics of traditional Chinese ink brush painting, using simple but expressive brush strokes on rice paper to create a beautiful Chinese landscape painting of trees in workshop one and rocks and mountains in workshop two. Learn to appreciate the Chinese philosophy and aesthetics of painting. This elegant brush technique is taught in a way that is easy to understand, yet meditative, enjoyable and relaxing. SOFT SCULPTURE WORKSHOP with Anita Johnson Larkin 

Saturday 12 June & Sunday 13 June, 12.00 - 4.00pm 
This exciting workshop teaches various ways of transforming found objects using soft sculpture techniques. Anita Johnson Larkin will share her methods of felting around an object (or part of) as well as different ways of stitching, wrapping, and mending your objects to create poetic narrative sculptures. Participants to bring two small found objects, one soft toy, needle & thread, pins and fabric scissors. All other materials supplied.
