EXHIBITIONS / Art+Care

8 August - 18 April 2021

BlueScope Gallery

One of the Gallery’s most important functions is the development, maintenance, conservation and presentation of its Art Collection which is considered to be one of the finest in regional Australia.

The Art+Care program, an initiative of the Wollongong Art Gallery Friends, seeks support from local businesses and community members to assist the Gallery in its important work to preserve and care for the Art Collection now and for future generations.

Eugene von Guerard’s painting Cabbage Tree Forest American Creek, New South Wales has recently undergone conservation treatment with the funds from the Art+Care program and will be on display with documentation of the conservation process by David Stein & Co, Sydney.
